When Meghan Markle appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last month, it marked the first time the actress has appeared in public since marrying her prince last May.
Speaking to DeGeneres alongside her husband Prince Harry , she touched upon a number of topics including how she was dealing with the pressures of being a member of the royal family.
“We have to go a small family pub in London, which I don’t know how they do it, but I’ve got to find a way around it all so I can still feel normal and support and love what I do, because it’s tough,” she said.
“It’s a challenge being in the spotlight, trying to find the balance between being in the public eye and not be objectified.”
The outspoken TV host responded by asking if she was feeling nervous. Markle said she was excited and joked she felt like “a little girl at Christmas.”
“Have you ever watched ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show?'” she asked. “The first thing that comes out of my mouth is ‘did you see my chestie’?”

The US TV host then broke away from the remainder of the interview to ask the pregnant actress if she had any fashion advice to give to women who wanted to compete with the style icon.
“Have you ever heard of fashion statements?” Markle asked. “What does that mean?”
“You can say a lot of things but when people look back, they just remember your clothes,” DeGeneres said.
“I know a lot of other people who are in the public eye and they don’t do anything like that. But, I think, yes, just really be yourself. Everybody’s amazing — just be you.”
