PROFILE OF OUR CORE TEAM: 

  • The Publisher: He is Chief Bomolaghon Omagbemi Ereku, a veteran journalist and founder of the newspaper. He graduated B.SC, Mass Communication (second class upper) from the University of Lagos in 1979.  He started his journalism practice right in the University of Lagos as editor of the training newspaper, The Unilag Sun in 1979 and after his national service as Information Officer of the Niger State NYSC Secretariat, he joined the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) as a reporter in 1980 and left as Senior Correspondent in 1986 for the World Health Organization as Health Information Officer in the Lagos Office and retired in 1996. 

He thereafter left for Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital in 1999 where he served as Press Officer of the Bayelsa State Council of Traditional Rulers  before establishing  the Atlantic Express  in 2001 to start off his journey in development journalism, reporting activities of the world renowned Akassa Development Foundation (ADF) which took him to covering development activities of the various community-based organizations at Opobo-Nkoro Community Development Foundation (ONCDF) in Rivers State, Eastern Obolo Community Development Foundation in Akwa Ibom state, among others in Bayelsa State.

  • The Managing Editor: He is Mr. Idihar Julius Agadag, a youngster from Ogbia in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State.

He attended Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori in 2003 and has a National Diploma in Business Administration (Upper Credit) in 2003, a professional certificate in Public Relations in 2013 and Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) in 2015.

      Mr. Agadaga started his journalism career with the Izon Times Newspaper from 2003 to 2015 and later joined Atlantic Express Newspaper from 2016.

      He has been a dedicated news reporter and rose from the ranks to be the managing editor of the paper.

His hobbies are football and reading.
