A former deputy governor of Bayelsa State and aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) of the Bayelsa West Senatorial District primary, Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi and Hon. Abel Ebifemowei, an aspirant for the Bayelsa Central Senatorial District primary have been declared winners of the party Primaries.
The primary eletion which was conducted via direct primary took place at the various units and wardd headquarters with card carrying members of the party anticipating.
Announcing the results at the APC party seretariat in Yenagoa, the chairman of the APC Bayelsa Central and West Senatorial Primary Election, Gen. Abdulsalam Dahiru (rtd) said the in the West Senatorial District three (3) aspirants contested with Hon. Peremobowei Ebebi polling a total of 10,450 votes to emerged winner while in the Central Senatorial Primary five (5) aspirants contested with Hon. Abel Ebifemowei polling a total of 24, 450 votes to emerg winner.
In their various acceptance speeches, Hon. Ebebi and Hon. Ebifemowei thanked party faithfuls for coming out enmass by voting them to fly the party flag in the October, 31 Senatorial eletions.
They also expressed thier profound thanks to the leader of the party in the state, Chief Timipre Sylva and other leaders for ensuring that the primaries were conducted peacefully, assuring that they will leave no stone unturned to ensure the party wins convincingly during the bye-election.
The duo urged other aspirants who contested with them to see the outcome as a brotherly contest, calling on them to jion hands together to work towards the victory of the APC
