The chief executive officer of Monimichilee sports facility limited, Mr.Ebi Egbe has called on the Governor elect, Chief David Lyon to give more priority to sports development in Bayelsa as that will boost the revenue allocation and engaged Youths positively.
Mr Egbe noted that investment in the sports development will attract foregin and local investors to Bayelsa, saying that, Bayelsa will soon join league of states using sports to drive development.
The FIFA match agent and stadium facilities expert disclosed this to newsmen while speaking on the margins of Imo sports summit held in Owerri.
He said “I’m impressed with what Emeka Ihedioha is doing with sport in Imo State,”
“Our incoming governor in Bayelsa State already has a blueprint for sports and don’t be surprised to see Bayelsa coming up with fresh ideas on how to take sports to the next level; any state that wants to fight crime and empower her youths must make sport a priority.”
He seized the medium and called on sports lovers and well meaning Bayelsan to support the governor elect to enable in succeed in his administration.
He urged the Governor-elect to appoint a seasoned administrator and sports expert as the commissioner for sports in order to develop the abundant sports talents in the state as well drive the economy through sports.
