*Renames roads after Party chieftain,PAP coordinator,Ex CBN staff others.
Paramount ruler of Mbiama community of Ahoada West council area of Rivers state,HRH Otavie Smith Sylvanus has called on the people of the community to be united for progress.
The monarch made the call as he marked his first six months in office as Okilomaken(paramount ruler) as well as his 41st birthday in grand style.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after inaugurating a number of roads in the community as part of activities commemorating the celebrations, the royal father noted that no meaningful development would thrive without peace and unity in any human settlement.
He harped that Mbiama was on the path of rapid socioeconomic development due to the peace and friendly disposition of the people which now propells progress in the area.
Sylvanus reiterated his commitment towards ensuring lasting legacies as Paramount ruler,stating that during the past six months in office as monarch the community has fared better.
He recalled that there was much to celebrate in his 41 years of existence on earth,just as he pointed out that the he would not betray the trust and confidence reposed on him by the community.
“Yesterday, saturday made it six months since I was elected as paramount ruler of this community. Though we’re not yet there but there’s much to celebrate”, he said.
“Today is my birthday day and We’re unveiling a number of road projects to mark the day.Before now,there were no names for most of these roads,but today as you can see the roads have been given names”, he added.
“Before my one year in office as Okilomaken(Paramount ruler), I can assure you there would be more to celebrate,but most important was our unity, peace and development”, the monarch restated.
Meanwhile a number of roads existing in the Rivers and Bayelsa states border community have also been renamed as part of activities commemorating the celebrations.
This the monarch hinted were necessitated by the contributions of the illustrious sons of the community,is hence the new nomenclatures of the roads.
The former Nitel road is now to be called,addressed and referred to as Comrade Inime Wilson road,former Adi Villa road was renamed Chucks Sokari road, just the former market road was renamed after the Speciak Adviser to the president on Niger Delta affairs and presidential Amnesty coordinator,Col.Midland Dikio (rtd) respectively.
Speaking while unveiling the renaming of the former Nitel road, chairman of the All progressives congress, APC ward two,Ahoada west LGA of Rivers state and MD/CEO of the duo of Chrisnime and Inimx global services and Energy Ltd companies, respectively, comrade, Inime Wilson said the naming and renaming of streets and other facilities in the community after those who have contributed in one way or the other towards the growth and development of the community and the society in general would spur them to do more.
Wilson noted that just in less than a year after the monarchs coronation, he has started leaving his footprints in the sands of time,noting that Mbiama was blessed to have had the monarch as their leader.
ther high points of the event were football matches between the Izon community resident in the town and the larger Engenni communities as well as others between the best football players selected from the Izon community team and the Engennis as one team,slugging out with the All stars FC of Ahoada West respectively.
