An American gospel artiste of Nigerian descent, Eby Ina has said her mother, Elizabeth Abosi inspired and encouraged her to go into music.
Eby Ina who recently released her single gospel hit track ” My Soul Rejioce” further said she grew up in a family of music, watching her mother as a backup singer in a local Church chior in Nigeria.
In a chat with Atlantic Express Newspaper via WhatsApp, Eby Ina revealed that she got the inspiration of her song from God when she was going through hard times in her life, saying that whenever one is faced with challenges one should not lose hope but rather look up to God for guardiance.
She explained that her singing talent was spotted at a very tender age while singing in the children chior, stating that since then her love and passion for gospel music has continued to grow.
The Nigerian-born American gospel singer and song writer who hails from Abiriba community in Abia State said her genre of music is Afro beat gospel song mixed with a blend of R&B.
The song writer said she sings gospel Reggae and gospel R&B but decided to sing gospel Afro music because Afro beat gospel music is gradually gaining acceptance in the United States as many American gospel artiste are now featuring African-born artiste in their songs, stating further that Nigerian gospel music is being played in many events in the United States.
She advised those who want to go into gospel to have the love and passion for it, stay focused on their dreams and never give up because of the challenges in life.
